About Arthur Wesley
Currently a graduating senior at George Mason University, I am in the English honors program, but I've also excelled at classes in web design. My divergent abilities enable me to bridge the gap between the communicative and the technical .
Whether it's writing a story, designing an article, or coding a website, I always strive for the best quality and take pride in my work. Young and ambitious, I started out as a technology manager for progressive campus news source The Rival after my Carl Sagan-themed science website caught their attention.
After gaining experience there, I interned at the American Humanist Association at their national headquarters in Washington D.C. as their communications intern. While there, my wonderful supervisor taught me how to appropriately write press releases and how to use Meltwater to locate and create targeted press lists for successful news distribution.
During the weekly DevCom (writer meetings), I contributed weekly articles and ideas for the TheHumanist.com . I also flexibly worked on other projects around the office such as helping redesign one of their websites.
Currently I work as an editorial assistant for the official magazine of George Mason University The Mason Spirit , which has an audience of over 70,000. My work is focused on editing and writing articles for the "Inquiring Minds" section, articles focused on cutting-edge research being conducted at the university and other topics of science and technology.
